Art Class Overview
Art is a fun and creative outlet for students to learn and grow. Through a combined learning experience of experimentation with art materials/techniques and formal characteristics and art history, students receive a well-rounded art education at Three Bridges School. Art projects are often cross-curricular and support various subjects such as literacy, math, science and technology.
Students learn about the Elements of Art: Line, Shape, Form, Color, Texture, Value and Space. The Elements of Art are the building blocks of art, they shape how we create and analyze artwork.
Students experiment with a wide array of art materials including but not limited to: watercolor/tempera paint, clay, charcoal, oil pastels, chalk pastels, crayons, colored pencils, and mixed media art.
Students experiment with a variety of techniques including drawing, painting, 3-D forms, collage, paper craft, printmaking and more.
