Welcome Letter

Dear Fifth Grader,

Welcome to fifth grade at Holland Brook School! I hope everyone is excited to share about their amazing summer full of adventures and fun in the sun. 

My name is Ms. Toth, and this is my first year teaching in Readington Township! I have had the privilege to teach 5th grade and 3rd grade in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District the last two years! I can’t wait to teach all of the 5th graders on the wonderful Toth/ Brodsky team in Reading, Writing, Word Study and Social Studies if you are in our homeroom. For Math and Science, you are lucky to be working with Mrs. Brodsky.

Get ready for a fun fifth grade year filled with challenges, creative projects, games, celebrations of learning, and activities that will help us make great memories together. We will work hard, but we will also have plenty of opportunities to have fun, collaborate with classmates, and enjoy being part of our classroom community.

Our classroom will be a place where everyone is respected, included, and encouraged to do their best. You do not have to know everything on the first day—that is why we are here! You will be expected to try, ask questions, listen carefully, be kind, and keep growing, even when learning feels challenging.

Please visit our webpage or the schools webpage for a list of grade level supplies needed for this year. Supplies should be brought in on the first day of school to make sure we have a successful start to our school year!

I am so excited to join you on your journey as a fifth grader this year, and I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you!
