Ms. DeCampos's Kindergarten Class
Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited to begin this school year with you and your child. This is such a special time, filled with growth, learning, and new experiences.
Throughout the year, we will be focusing on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math. In reading, students will learn letter names and sounds, practice blending sounds, and begin to read simple books. In writing, they will draw, label, and write sentences to share their ideas. In math, we will work on counting, number recognition, shapes, and basic problem-solving skills.
We will also spend time developing important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, following routines, and building friendships. Our classroom will be a safe, supportive, and fun environment where all students are encouraged to try their best and grow each day.
A little about me.... I have lived in Readington for 10 years and have two sons, JT and Antonio, and a dog named Bucky. Fun fact about my dog- he has one blue eye and one brown eye!! I love everything down the shore, whether it be swimming in the ocean or doing so many fun things on the boardwalk. I also love to watch sports (baseball and football) with my sons, the color blue, everything pasta, and going for long relaxing walks.
You can expect regular communication from me about what we are learning and how your child is progressing. I believe that working together will help make this a successful and positive year for your child.
