Dear Parents/ Guardians,
Welcome to the new school year! My name is Amanda Olson, and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. Several paraprofessionals will be joining me in our classroom. We are all extremely excited to have a wonderful and successful school year!
I graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in elementary education and a concentration in special education. I decided to continue my educational journey of working with students with disabilities and received my Masters in Autism and Severe Disabilities at the University of Delaware. Through this experience, I was able to work with students with Autism in a self-contained and specialized school environment, where I engaged in Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. I was at Whitehouse School for the past seven years, and now it will be my first year at Three Bridges. I am excited to be part of a new school community and will continue to collaborate with wonderful staff to implement new strategies to aid in the accomplishments of your child.
Communication is of the highest priority, so I am looking forward to communicating with your family on a daily basis and having parent meetings with our behaviorist. I also encourage you to email me at school with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have. It is essential that we work collaboratively to help generalize the skills your child is learning to the home environment. I am happy to be starting my new journey at Three Bridges School and cannot wait to work with you and your child throughout this school year!
Sincerely,
Amanda Olson
