Class overview

Welcome to Kindergarten! I am so excited to begin this school year with you and your child. This is such a special time, filled with growth, learning, and new experiences.

Throughout the year, we will be focusing on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math. In reading, students will learn letter names and sounds, practice blending sounds, and begin to read simple books. In writing, they will draw, label, and write sentences to share their ideas. In math, we will work on counting, number recognition, shapes, and basic problem-solving skills.

We will also spend time developing important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, following routines, and building friendships. Our classroom will be a safe, supportive, and fun environment where all students are encouraged to try their best and grow each day.
