When you have ADD, the frontal lobe of your brain is wired in a specific way that makes it harder to use directed attention.
There are seven types of ADD, which are Classic ADD, Inattentive ADD, Overfocused ADD, Temporal Lobe ADD, Limbic ADD, Ring of Fire ADD, and Anxious ADD.
Some symptoms of ADD are:
Having trouble paying attention
Being very active
Acting without thinking.
ADD (Attention deficit disorder) is the older name for ADHD. ADD and ADHD are actually the same thing.
Experts think that about one in twenty kids (5%), has ADD.
In the US, about one in fourteen children has ADD, (7%) including one in every ten boys (10%), and one in twenty-five girls. (4%). This could be because more boys have ADD, or fewer girls get tested for it.
About thirty-three (33) percent of kids with ADD never finish high school.
