Recruiting Tips

Here you will find basic recruiting tips such as how to communicate college coaches, how you should be contacting college coaches, maintaining contact, as well as checklists by grade level.

The recruiting process has drastically changed over the years. With the introduction of social media, athletes have been way more independent with the recruiting process. It is important to remember that college coaches will not start to personally contact high school athletes (phone calls, personal emails, etc...) until September 15th of your Junior year of high school. In the mean time, athletes should be doing their do diligence with contacting coaches through email and social media outlets such as Twitter. You will not receive contact back until that Sept. 15 date but you will be on college coaches radars. Another good way to get on college coaches radars is to attend prospect camps or satelite camps. These are all good ways to get into contact with college coaches early in the recruiting process.
