ZOMBIE PROM
Junior, Abby Farrell was named to the 2021 MAVCA D2 All State Team. This is an extraordinary accomplishment. In the last decade we have had only had 7 other Rockets named to this team. Abby was also named to the Middlesex League All Conference Award this year. A match was held at Westborough High School honoring all 54 athletes from 5 Divisions. Coach Hopkinson was happy to be able to give Abby her award and her fellow Captain, senior Anna Hughes, was by her side as she has been all season long. Abby will serve her second year as captain next year and we cannot wait to build on our successes from this season!!

FIGHTING PERIOD POVERTY!
Period Poverty is a widespread issue, a public crisis we don’t talk about!
It doesn’t just affect homeless women; it affects a huge number of schoolchildren, college students & so many women in need as well. Many girls miss school or activities due to periods.
Hygiene products are not a luxury, but a necessity. Period!
Image the anguish of a homeless woman or teenager or mother, who needs these items & can’t get them! Women cannot use public benefits to buy hygiene products. These essential products are taxed and not included in flexible or health spending account allowances. They are not covered by the health insurance or Medicaid. And despite being a necessity for half the population, they are not offered for free in public restrooms. No women or girl should miss daily life because they can’t afford the basic necessities they require!
SSPI is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization collecting these items to help girls & women in need. Together we can fight period poverty. Every woman or teenager deserves to be comfortable!
