Dear Class of 2027,
Welcome back to Reading Memorial High School! You’ve officially reached your junior year—a milestone that brings you closer than ever to your goals. This is a year of possibility, growth, and preparation as you begin to shape the path you’ll take beyond RMHS.
Junior year can feel both exciting and demanding—you’re balancing challenging classes, leadership opportunities, extracurricular commitments, and planning for your future. But you’re not doing it alone. You are surrounded by teachers, counselors, and classmates who are here to support and cheer you on every step of the way.
As your assistant principals, we’d like to share a few reminders grounded in the values that guide our school: Respect, Responsibility, Scholarship, and Perseverance.
Respect – Continue to be a positive presence in our school community. Treat yourself and others with kindness and dignity—you are role models for younger students.
Responsibility – Take ownership of your learning and commitments. This is the time to build habits and skills that will carry you well beyond high school.
Scholarship – Challenge yourself academically and explore your interests deeply. Your curiosity and effort today will open doors tomorrow.
Perseverance – Junior year can be demanding, but remember: the effort you put in now will pay off. Keep showing up, keep trying, and keep moving forward.
This is your time to step into leadership roles, explore new opportunities, and set your sights on the future. You’ve already accomplished so much—now is the time to build on that momentum.
We believe in you. We’re here for you. And we can’t wait to see the incredible things you’ll achieve as the Class of 2027.
Let’s make this your best year yet.
