Re-Conectando, in alliance with ECCO, invites you to be part of the Soul's Mycelium, a global call to those who, from diverse paths, recognize the healing of collective trauma and the co-creation of regenerative cultures as essential tasks to address the polycrisis facing our planet.

This gathering arises from over seven years of experience contributing to peacebuilding in Colombia through the lens of deep ecology. During four years of collaboration with Colombia’s Truth Commission, we approached reconciliation from an ecocentric perspective, understanding that human conflicts have their deepest roots in the trauma of separation between humans and other living beings and forces of the planet.

The Soul's Mycelium is a living laboratory and a rite of passage into an emerging world. We envision it as an experience where, together, we can heal, co-create, and celebrate our capacities to sustain and regenerate life.

1. Living Systems and the Wound of Separation:
We will explore how the wisdom of nature manifests as a guide to addressing the wound of separation that has fragmented living systems.

2. Healing Collective Trauma:
Trauma is an ancestral and shared wound that impacts both our human and ecological relationships. How does it manifest and unfold in different territories? How can we heal within a more-than-human community?

3. The Power of Ritual in the Face of the Polycrisis:
We will navigate the multiple contemporary crises through rites of passage that integrate ancestral wisdom, eco-feminisms, and eco-masculinities. These rituals will serve as opportunities to transform pain and uncertainty into processes of empowerment and active hope.

4. Regeneration and Collective Healing:

The regenerative paradigm calls us to abandon the anthropocentric perspective that has led us to see ourselves either as great destroyers or as saviors of the world. From a regenerative perspective, we will explore proposals to act in harmony with the web of life to which we belong, contributing to its revitalization.

Our sources of inspiration

Our work is inspired by diverse streams of thought and practices that guide transformational processes:

The Spiral of The Work That Reconnects (Joanna Macy), which helps us move from pain to active engagement in life.
Social Theater (Augusto Boal, Teya Sepinuk, Arawana Hayashi), which amplifies the voices and stories that need to be heard.
Collective healing rituals, rooted in ancestral wisdom and the teachings of Malidoma Somé, Bayo Akomolafe, Michael Meade, Bill Plotkin, and others.
The framework for systemic change offered by Theory U (Otto Scharmer), which supports us in recognizing and accompanying the emerging future.

How can you participate?

Our meeting will take place between June 23 and 28, 2025 in the Ecovillage La Atlantida, located in the department of Cauca, Colombia. La Atlántida, an “altar for life”, is an ecovillage with 22 years of history, recognized nationally and internationally as a meeting place for diverse spiritual traditions. There, through rituals and community practices, a deep connection with the living in all its forms is fostered.

To participate you must register, pay the registration fee according to your way of participation and arrive to the city of Cali, where our meeting point will be.

Ways of participation

The registration fee includes transportation Cali-La Atlantida-Cali, lodging and meals and varies according to the form of participation and type of accommodation:

Mycelium organization: If you are an organization that is working for sustainability, regeneration and collective healing in Colombian territories and/or you find that El Micelio del Alma can contribute to the strengthening of your programs, we invite you to recognize yourself as part of this Micelio, share your experience and become part of a learning community, registering members of your network (minimum 3) with a special price.

4. Agents of change from the private sector: if you are a company that wants to contribute to the regeneration of the planet, we invite you to register members of your organization by paying a solidarity fee. Your generosity will contribute to the involvement of local leaders in need of scholarships.

The most remarkable feature of this historical moment on Earth, is not that we are on the way to destroying the world — we've actually been on the way for quite a while. It is that we are beginning to wake up, as from a millennia-long sleep, to a whole new relationship to our world, to ourselves and each other.
