Social Studies 

What is life like in other countries? How are people in those countries like me? Your child will examine communities in India, Tunisia, Peru, and Ukraine. They will explore how people live in these communities and gain an understanding of the global community and Canada’s role within it.


What Your Child Is Learning 

Your child will study life in other parts of the world and discover shared ground among all people. By examining communities in India, Tunisia, Peru, and Ukraine, they will discover common needs and how people’s quality of life varies around the world. Your child will explore the concept of a global community and Canada’s role within it.

Social Studies 

What is Alberta like and how did Alberta become what it is now? By examining the many aspects of Alberta—such as geography, history, and culture—your child will develop a stronger sense of people’s identity as Albertans and a better understanding of our province’s diversity. 


What Your Child Is Learning 

Your child will examine the relationship between the geography of Alberta and the history and culture of Alberta’s peoples. Exploring Alberta’s rich history and development will help them understand the province’s diversity, instill a sense of pride and identity, and help them value and respect the province and its people.
