The machine gallery
It represents some of the most important mechanical machines used in the XX.th century for the production of footwear.
Among these is the seamstress "blake" for soles called "Whale" for its paunchy shape, produced by USM and imported from France, on which the maintenance mechanics of Vigevano learned soon how to produce spare parts. With the awareness of being able to build similar machines, the first manufacturers, founders of an endless line of businessmen in the mechano - footwear industry were born.
The "Whale" logo represents the symbol of the Museum.
