Reading at Rutland Town

Reading Intervention at Rutland Town School is a Tier-2 program. This means that it is available to all students and it's entrance and exit criteria is flexible. Teachers and interventionists meet to discuss concerns and decide if more small group or individual reading instruction is needed in addition to the classroom instruction. Parents will always be informed if their student is targeted for reading instruction. Some students remain in intervention for only a few weeks to target certain skills, while others need more long-term instruction to fill the gaps at their grade level. Reading intervention is a great way to help all students meet proficiency in ELA K-5!
