Before continuing, please restart your MacBook by clicking the Apple symbol in the upper left corner of the screen then selecting the Restart... option.
If your charger is not working or your machine will not turn on:
Ensure the charger is plugged in
Try plugging the charger into a different USB-C port in your MacBook (if one port fails contact the HelpDesk)
Try plugging the charger into another outlet in the room.
See if there is anything stuck in the charger port or at the end of the charger.
Restart the MacBook
If troubleshooting steps have failed to resolve the issue, bring the charger and computer to the HelpDesk for further assistance during normal school hours.
If you are experiencing a hardware failure but there are no obvious signs of broken parts, please restart your MacBook. If the issue is obviously a hardware failure (such as a cracked screen) or a restart failed to resolve the issue, please bring the device to the HelpDesk during normal school hours for further assistance.
Examples of Hardware Failures/Damages:
Lines on screen, screen cracked/broken
Keyboard is not working or a key has come off
USB-C and/or Headphone port(s) do not work
Trackpad does not work or is cracked
Etc.
