Homework

Orchard Ranch's Homework Policy

Orchard Ranch is a flexible homework school. If homework is assigned, it is meant to support work done within the classroom and is NOT counted for a grade or regularly collected. This is different than projects that may be assigned over time and may vary from teacher to teacher. We do have regular reading expectations at home that will be discussed by your child(s) teacher. If concerns arise regarding homework assignments, or the time spent on homework, please contact your student’s teacher.

Students will NOT have consequences for not completing homework.

Weekly homework options:

• Read 20 minutes a night

• Practice multiplication and division facts for 10 minutes per night

• Complete offered math pages from class

• Write in journal for 10 minutes per night.

• Complete research for Information Writing

• Complete lessons on iReady (found in Clever)

• Practice keyboarding skills on EduType (found in Clever)
