We will be covering all of the math standards for 7th grade and about half of the math standards for 8th grade. This is a very rigorous and fast-paced class. What makes this class unique, other than it is very rigorous and fast-paced, is that we do a lot of tasks that require you to apply what you have learned to new and unfamiliar situations, in an effort to help you build a deep and thorough understanding of the topics that we learn about. It is imperative that you ask questions and seek extra help from me, should you find that you need it.

1. Dark colored pen or marker and scratch paper for class practice.

2. Basic calculator (I will put a link to an online calculator in Otus if you don't have a physical one)

*We will be keeping a digital notebook this year, and I will provide the template for that in Otus.

1. Join the class meeting ON TIME!

2. Mute your microphone when you join the group. Please keep your microphone muted until asked to unmute.

3. Be appropriate during our class meeting, behave just like you would be expected to in a physical classroom.

4. Sit somewhere where you have a neutral background. Please be sure that there is nothing inappropriate in the background of your video.

5. Use headphones, if at all possible, as this keeps the your microphone from picking up your speakers when you are asked to unmute your microphone.

6. Make sure you have all the assigned links opened BEFORE you join the class meeting.
