The above assessment calendar will provide grade level testing windows and grade level reporting forms for district required assessment reporting.
The ELA Assessment Guides list the common benchmark assessments for reading and writing and the timelines for administering these assessments and submitting results. The common benchmark assessments are bolded on the guide. Other formative, interim, and summative assessments that build toward the benchmark assessments are also included. These additional assessments are resources for teachers to inform instruction and grading.
These guides provide information and links to the reading foundational skills assessments. The guides also include a flowchart for determining which assessments to administer and proficiency criteria by trimester.
This section provides protocols, rubrics and expectations for independence with assessments at each grade level. In addition, their are provided questions stems to help support and facilitate conversations with grade level literature and informational text.
Follow the links below to grade level folders with options for benchmark writing assessments and scoring rubrics. Ed Services will not be collecting results for the 2018/2019 school year. The expectation is that students are writing across multiple genres and different types of writing all three trimesters. Each trimester should not solely focus on one type of writing, rather students should be incorporating each type of writing within every trimester.
