Summer Break!

Message from the Principals

We can't believe the end of the year is here!  It is always a time of mixed emotions celebrating the amazing accomplishments our Trailblazers have made this year, but also saying goodbye to our classroom families.  We would like to shout out our awesome 5th grade class as they head onto middle school!  We wish them all the best and know that they will do great things in the future!

We look forward to seeing our returning families on August 7th at our Back To School Night-Meet the Teacher event from 5:00-6:00 pm.

Here's to a wonderful summer break full of family time fun and a little relaxation too!

~Mrs. Phillips and Mr. Field

Thank you, Mr. Field!

I wanted to take a moment to thank Mr. Field for a wonderful year here at Diamond Creek as our Assistant Principal.  We are so appreciative of his hard work bringing back WatchDOGS onto our campus, assisting with the Book Vending Machine Rollout, spending time working with our students, and so much more!  Our entire DC family (students, staff and parents) will miss seeing him on campus each day.  We wish him all the best in his new adventures in his educational journey supporting families within his new District.

Welcome New Assistant Principal, Mrs. Campbell!

I have some exciting news to share with you regarding our new Assistant Principal.  Please help me welcome back to Diamond Creek, Mrs. Beverly (Bev) Campbell.  Some of you may know Mrs. Campbell as our former Program Specialist.  This past school year, she took on a new role as Sargeant Elementary's Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA.)  She brings with her a vast knowledge about student behavior and supports. She is enthusiastic about coming back to Diamond Creek in this new role, and we can’t wait for her to join the team.

HAPPY RETIREMENT!

The Diamond Creek community is celebrating an incredible human that dedicated her career to public service.  Mrs. Petersen worked in education for 38 years (27 of those years in RCSD and 23 years at Diamond Creek).  We are so grateful for her dedication to our community and wish her the best in retired life!

Pictured below is Diamond Creek's Mrs. Petersen and the other RCSD employees that are celebrating this amazing life milestone.  Congratulations, Mrs. Petersen!

2023-24 Teacher Who Makes a Difference Award

Each school year, every school in Placer County nominates a teacher for the Teacher Who Makes a Difference Award.  We have so many incredible teachers here at Diamond Creek that it is always tough to select just one.  This year, Diamond Creek selected Mrs. Irwin!  Mrs. Irwin taught 1st grade this year and truly encompasses everything that this award represents.

The award recipients have a nice evening dedicated to celebrating the positive impact they make on their students.  Pictured below is Mrs. Irwin and her husband.  Congratulations, Mrs. Irwin!

2023-24 PIE Grant Recipient

The Roseville City School District (RCSD) Foundation established the Partners in Education (PIE) Grant Program to encourage, facilitate, recognize, and reward innovative and creative teaching approaches which increase student achievement and enhance educational opportunities in the classrooms and at school sites. The RCSD Foundation's mission focuses on STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math Enrichment.

The grant recipients were recognized at a board meeting in May.  Pictured below is Diamond Creek's Mrs. Rasmussen and the other grant recipients.  Congratulations, Mrs. Rasmussen!
