Be responsible.
Preparation for class: Students are required to bring a pencil, their work, and a math notebook to each class.
Expectations for class:
Everyone has the right to, and should expect to, learn.
Each individual is worthy of respect.
Ask questions when you are unsure.
Hard work is necessary for learning.
Late work: Work turned in late and not associated with an absence will not earn full credit. Late penalty is 20% of the assignment’s value.
Grading: a) The District grading scale as applied to points earned by the end of a grading period is as follows:
A = 100-90%,
B = 89-80%
C = 79-70,
D = 69-60%,
F = 59% and below.
b) The final grade will be a percent of the total points possible and areas evaluated will be weighted as follows:
Tests and Quizzes = 40%
Classwork/Participation = 30%
Homework = 20%
Projects = 10%
