Community Charter Ensemble Lessons

Grade Level(s): 5th-8th Graders

Club Leader: Mr. Iraci

Description: Community charter ensemble will be program done in collaboration and partnership with Eastman Community Music School’s New Horizon’s program. Through this program, students will receive one-on-one 30 minute individualized instruction on their instrument to prepare for festivals and/or auditions. When not receiving their individual lesson, students will be working in small groups creating and practicing their own original musical compositions as well as standard chamber music repertoire. 

This opportunity is open to instrumental music students in grades 5-8 who have completed at least one year of instrumental music study for wind, percussion, and string instruments. Further, this opportunity is for students who are interested in performing in Solo Festivals, districtwide ensembles and/or auditions to SOTA, Eastman Pathways, and ROCmusic are highly encouraged to sign up. 

Chamber Ensembles will showcase their performance in March during Music in our Schools Month.
