About
The Student Family Support Center (SFSC) is a collaborative resource (housed at Edison – room 3C16A) that promotes the holistic growth and development of students by offering resources that attend to social/emotional, behavioral, academic, and mental health needs. To do so, the SFSC partners with school and community-based providers, programs, and systems to ensure services are available to help students and families address disruptions to academic and social stability, and/or behaviors that may cause distress for the individual, the family, or the school community. The SFSC manages these partnerships and also maintains relationships with additional community organizations in order to make available a wide range of services to all Edison students and families.
Support is available in the following areas: academic enrichment, college/career exploration, conflict resolution/mediation, general counseling, job readiness, mental health, physical health, pregnancy/parenting, substance use, and more.
