My goal is to connect East scholars and/or their families with career and job opportunities. I am available to help scholars create a resume, Identify areas of interest, practice interview skills, apply for jobs, conduct follow up calls to prospective employers, and make community connections. A part of my role is to build partnerships with the various organizations and companies within Rochester that can provide internships, apprenticeships, shadows and jobs for our scholars. I support our Work Based Learning coordinator to forge these partnerships in order to provide various opportunities for our scholars so that they can be better equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue certain careers and apply to entry level positions.
