Intro to Biomedical & Health Sciences

Course overview

Scholars will engage in fundamental concepts of Biomedical & Health Sciences . This survey course will begin with the focus on the vast career pathway of medical and allied health professions. Scholars will then explore each of the human body systems, including both structure and function with the emphasis on the emergence of diseases and disorders. To complete the course, scholars study skills to maintain health and wellness. Scholars will also be provided the opportunity to become trained and certified in Basic Life Support (CPR, First Aid, AED, FBAO).
