At Home
At home, I am a busy mom and wife. I live with my family, which consists of my husband, who is a scientist, my daughter, who is starting her Junior Year of high school, along with our 7 year old Portuguese Water Dog (PWD), and our new PWD puppy.
Sheldon (7) and Phoebe (the puppy) keep us very busy at home. You never know what kind of trouble they will get into! Both are hoping for an opportunity to ZOOM with my classes this year on remote days!
En casa, soy una madre y una esposa ocupadas. Vivo con mi familia, que está formada por mi esposo, que es científico, mi hija, que está comenzando su tercer año de escuela secundaria, junto con nuestro Perro de Agua Portugués (PWD) de 7 años y nuestro nuevo cachorro PWD.
Sheldon (7) y Phoebe (el cachorro) nos mantienen muy ocupados en casa. ¡Nunca se sabe en qué tipo de problemas se meterán! ¡Ambos esperan tener la oportunidad de hacer ZOOM con mis clases este año en días remotos!
At Work
At Work
I am an ENL (English as a New Language) Teacher at Franklin Lower. You can find me co-teaching in the 8th Grade ELA classes, and working in Room 105 with small groups during my ESOL Stand-Alone classes. I plan & teach with the other 8th Grade content teachers, to support the learning of the different contents and the English language growth of Franklin Lower’s 8th Grade ELL/ENL students.
This is my 26th year teaching ESOL in the RCSD. The last 3 years, I worked with the 7th & 8th Graders at Franklin, along with supporting some of the high school students too. Prior to that, I spent 22 years teaching ESOL at Enrico Fermi, School #17, teaching K-6 ENL and ELA/ENL classes.
Soy maestra de ENL (inglés como nuevo idioma) en Franklin Lower. Puede encontrarse co-enseñando en las clases de ELA de octavo grado y trabajando en el salón 105 con grupos pequeños durante mis clases independientes de ESOL. Planeo y enseñó con los otros maestros de contenido de octavo grado, para apoyar el aprendizaje de los diferentes contenidos y el crecimiento del idioma inglés de los estudiantes de ELL / ENL de octavo grado de Franklin Lower.Este es mi 26º año enseñando ESOL en el RCSD. Los últimos 3 años, trabajé con los estudiantes de séptimo y octavo grado en Franklin, además de apoyar a algunos de los estudiantes de secundaria también.
