Hello! My name is Mr. Reuben Locsin, and I am proud to be your 7th Grade Mathematics Teacher here at JW Eater Junior High School. This year marks my 6th year of teaching, and I’m as excited as ever to help students grow not only in math, but also in confidence, responsibility, and problem-solving.
I believe math is more than numbers—it’s about learning to think critically, persevere, and work together. In Room 18, I strive to create an environment where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and discover that math can actually be fun!
Engaging Lessons – From hands-on activities to technology time, I make sure learning is active.
Small-Group Rotations – Students get personalized support, practice, and enrichment opportunities.
Performance Tasks & Projects – Real-world connections that show how math matters beyond the classroom.
Positive Classroom Culture – Respect, teamwork, and growth mindset are at the heart of everything we do.
🌟 A Little About Me
Outside of teaching, I’m a husband, a proud furdad of three, and a lover of music, food, and movies. I enjoy volleyball, singing, and dancing (even if I’m not stage-ready 😄). I also love trying new dishes and flavors whenever I can.
If you ever have questions or need to reach out, please don’t hesitate to email me at: rlocsin@rcs137.org. Together, we can make this year successful for every student!
