class overview
In this class we will learn about physics and chemistry. In physics we will learn about forces and how and why things move, and in chemistry we will learn about matter, states of matter, and what happens when different types of matter interact!
Class Assignments:
Daily warm-up: Each day, Monday - Friday, students are to complete daily warm-up activities. This includes answering a daily question and drawing a simple sketch related to the concept.
Weekly articles: Each week, students are assigned two NewsELA articles to read and answer questions about, including a short written answer question. Students can earn up to 4 of 5 points if one article is completed, and up to 5 of 5 points if both articles are completed.
TCI Workbook: Students complete exercises in their TCI workbooks (online or on paper for those without chromebooks). Should be completed in full sentences and with thorough responses.
Science Notebook: Students must complete notes and writing in their notebooks as assigned during class.
Science Experiments: Each unit will involve a mini-lab or full lab.
Science Contract: Students must turn in a science safety contract signed by a parent or guardian in order to participate in science labs.
