Poulin-:

• For homework: please practice root words onym, host, and hosp.  Students were given a vocabulary homework assignment on Monday.  This is double-sided and due Friday.  

• I have introduced a new challenge to students.  While reading, students are asked to look for vocabulary words that they have learned this year.  If they find the word in context, they are to show me the proof of the "word in the wild."  Each word will equate to a point.  At the end of the quarter, the top 20 will be invited to an ice-cream party.  Therefore, students are to READ.  They may read books, magazines, newspapers, or even closed captions while watching television.
