About Me
This is my second year at Hart Middle School, and it is my 18th year of teaching. I can wholeheartedly say that would never want another career outside of education. Educating our future leaders is an amazing opportunity, and I am proud to be part of that. I have had some incredible and caring teachers throughout my schooling who inspired me to be where I am today. I am so excited to be a part of the staff here! I have taught various grades, but have spent many years teaching middle school ELA. It is one of my favorite ages and subjects to teach.

I graduated from Michigan State University. Go Spartans!! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two children. My son, Evan, is in fifth grade, and my daughter, Annie, is a third grader. We love being outdoors, traveling, riding bikes, skiing, swimming and enjoying nature together.

I love learning new things and meeting new people, especially my students. I have had the privilege of working with a variety of diverse learners over the years and enjoy watching students develop a love for literature, enhance reading skills and increase their writing skills.
