Keep a sketchbook and try drawing a little each day.  If you can't buy one make one using an old lined notebook.  Sketchbooks are for practice so the paper doesn't have to be great.  I use to draw on my dad's newspapers after he was finished with them.  I also drew a lot in the dirt with a stick.  Again, think practice.

If you do not have internet access, try drawing your toys from different angles/viewpoints.
