REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION
240 Credits Needed
Each Semester Class = 5 Credits
All courses below are required.
English – 40 credits
Math – 30 credits
Science – 30 credits
Social Science – 45 credits
Fine Arts – 10 credits – from Art, Music
Health – 5 credits
Physical Education – 5 credits
Business – 15 credits - one class must be IT Applications 1 for students graduating after 2027
Family & Consumer Science – 5 credits
Speech/Personal Communications – 5 credits
Electives – 50 additional credits, 10 of which are from Vocational or Fine Arts
Credit totals are minimum standards required for graduation. Students should base course choices upon meeting individual student goals rather than meeting the minimum standard. College-bound students should refer to college admissions requirements when choosing courses of study.
Dual Credit and College Credit courses are available.
Dual Credit courses include English Literature, English Composition, Public Speaking, Calculus, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Welding, Advanced Biology, Human Anatomy, Chemistry, World History and American History. Students must meet all requirements set forth by the college granting credit to enroll in these courses.
Online College Credit is available through SCC Advantage, SCC SENCAP, UNL Nebraska NOW or any other approved online college credit program.
