GOAL 13

Goal Thirteen is about taking immediate action against climate change. It is one of the twenty goals put out by the United Nations. At Whitney Public School, our class took on the challenge of power consumption, and we divided into three groups: Shut Down Wednesday, Solar Panels, and Electricity Use / Unplugging.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals are seventeen different major problems that our world faces today. We decided that the best way we could take action would be to reduce energy consumption in our school, and to hopefully spread our ideas globally to schools around the world.
