The static synchronous compensator is a shunt device of the flexible AC transmission system family using power electronics to control power flow and improve transient stability on power grids.The operating performance of the compensator is control by switching angle optimization which in turn minimized the Harmonics and regulating voltage and Reactive power in electrical transmission network and results shows the model acceptable for Flexible AC transmission.
