Debasish Mondal received his B. Tech and Master of Engineering degrees in 1998, 2000 form University of Calcutta and Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), India respectively. He did Ph.D in Engg. in 2012 from the Department of Electrical Engg. from IIEST. He has around 25 years of teaching and research experience and has 49 research publications in different International Journals, Conferences and Books Chapters. He also published multiple patents and copyrights. He is actively involved with guiding Ph.D Scholar in collaboration with faculty members with the other institutions and supervised several UG and also PG project. He is the principal author of a book, Power System Small Signal Stability Analysis and Control: Elsevier Sc. & Tech. Publication. He is presently working as a Principal Investigator (PI) of a joint Consultancy Project with Hi-Tech System & Services Ltd., Kolkata. He was formerly associated with Haldia Institute of Technology, from the year 2006 to 2014 and worked around 06 yrs as an Assistant Engineer in Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd. (A Govt. of India Enterprise) from the year 2000 to 2006. At present he holds a post of Professor in the Dept. of Electrical Engg. with additional responsibility of Dean Research & Innovation and President of Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata.  He has served as a HOD in the Dept. of Electrical Engg., RCC Institute of Information Technology, from the year 2019 to 2022. His active research interests on the areas like Power Systems Stability, Soft Computing, Robust Control, Nonlinear Control Systems, Optimal Control Systems, and application of IoT and Machine Learning. He is a member of editorial team of different international & peer reviewed journals and acts as a reviewer of reputed international journal and conferences. Dr. Mondal is a Sr. Member of IEEE and Life Member of IE (I), ISTE (I) and The Robotic Society (TRS) of India.
