Rose Bud HIPPY

Rose Bud HIPPY is a free home-based, early childhood, education readiness program for parents of two, three, four, and five year-old children. It is a 30 week program throughout the school year. We provide the supplies needed and books. Your child can be in Pre-K and do HIPPY as well. We also do fun monthly group meetings. Once a week your home based educator will come to your home and bring a lesson full of activities. The caregiver and home based educator will go over the packet. Throughout the week the caregiver and child will do the lesson. The next week the home based educator will pick the packet up and give you that week's packet. Spending at least fifteen minutes each day with your child will make a difference in how well your child performs in school when he/she enters kindergarten. You will receive all books and supplies at no cost to you and keep the books as well.

We have 4 age appropriate programs:

• Little Learners: Your child will need to be 2.

• 3 year old program

• 4 year old program

• 5 year old program (You must be 5 after August and have completed a program prior.)

All activites and materials are age appropriate.

Children will develop many skills with HIPPY. Each week’s lessons include instruction in: Literacy, Math, Fine motor skills, gross motor skills, Science, and language development. Children will learn reading concepts such as how to predict what a story will be about using the pictures and how to listen to gain information. Math lessons will teach concepts such as counting, the meaning of numbers, sorting, etc. All of the lessons are fun and interactive, so that the children will be excited to do them each week.

Group Meetings are a time for the families in our program to come together and participate in activities with your child. This gives your child plenty of opportunity to work on those socialization skills.

HIPPY is a non profit organization funded by the state. We have to have this documentation for the children in the program.

5. Latest wellness check up [ABC (Arkansas Better Chance) who provides some of our funding requires that all children in our program have a well child check in their file. As long as the child has been within 2 years, it is considered up to date.]
