A team of 22 educators across Rockland County conducted pilots and reviews of several curricular resources addressing the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency (CSDF) Standards. This page contains resources for the products as well as reviews of these products. This project was funded by the NYS Smart Start grant.

Process

Participants started out by reviewing five different curricular resources addressing the CSDF standards. Criteria included alignment to the NYS CSDF standards, alignment to other content areas, ease of use, social-emotional learning, supports for Multi-Language Learners, and supports for Students With Disabilities.

After initial review and brief demos from the five vendors, participants formed teams and selected a product/module to review based on their own interests and needs. They also selected devices for implementing the lessons, as most of the resources could be implemented with various devices.

Each team received training provided by the vendors (as available) in their selected product/module.

Teams then piloted the materials and summarized their findings, described on this web site.
