International Yoga Day (Online)

Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as International Yoga Day all over the world.

Yoga is not just a physical activity but it’s a way of life to uplift the emotional, intellectual, moral and spiritual aspects of human behaviour which promotes peace, health and joy in life.

This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, "Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well- being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being."

Virtual session on International Yoga Day was conducted by our school. With the help of excellent team of teachers, our young enthusiastic students and the eager supportive Parents we could celebrate health and life on this day.

The sessions were lively and interactive. It began with warm up exercises followed by various asanas demonstrated by our students from grade VI to X. The Parents and students coordinated and complimented each other. This session indeed inspired many to include Yoga in their daily lives. We ended the session with a pledge to somehow incorporate Yoga in our life and encourage others.
