DOCTORS DAY

Doctors all over the world are given the stature next to god. It happens so because they are lifesavers and work tirelessly for mankind.

The medical field of India is renowned all over the world. The doctors originating from India are reaching new heights globally. However, when we talk about the medical scenario within the country, we find it quite worrying. In other words, all capable and talented doctors are moving abroad in search of better job opportunities and facilities. Therefore, we see there is a lack of doctors in the country to cater to the ever-growing population. But if we see on the bright side, we will notice how Indian doctors are very charitable in comparison to doctors of other countries. As India has been a country of tradition, the qualities are deeply rooted in our culture. This reflects in the medical sphere of the country as well.

The doctors have played an important role during the 2 year covid-19 crisis. While people around the world were locked in their houses, the doctors did not take a minute of break and were on their toes 24/7 without worrying about their own self and treated the patients by risking their lives. The role of doctors is very challenging and could not be filled in by any other profession, Pandemic was the greatest example of it. In case of war, too, the doctors and nurses have to be on the frontline. There are nurses and medical staff on the battlefields who are equipped with the tactics of war and well-versed in medical treatments have to be on their toes till the time battle continues. Doctors are respected all around the world for these very reasons. Through years of training and practice; they equip themselves with enough patience to treat critical diseases. Doctors and other medical professionals are revered all around the world for their services to humankind. Doctors in India can be associated with a hospital. They can also practice privately under a government license. Most clinics that we go to are private clinics. However, there are public health clinics that charge less. The doctors work very hard to find cures for the diseases like cancer, advanced lung, liver or kidney disease.

Doctors save lives, but their importance goes far beyond that. Doctors also make a difference by helping patients minimize pain, recover from a disease faster or learn to live with a disabling injury. A patient's ability to enjoy life, even if they can't be cured, make a huge difference to them and to their families’. Doctors are people who will always stand on their feet to face any medical situation and take care and cure their patients in every possible way they can.

SINGLE USE PLASTIC

Single-use plastics are those items that are used only once and discarded. The adverse impacts of littered single use plastic items on both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, including in marine environments, are globally recognized. Addressing pollution due to single use plastic items has become an important environmental challenge confronting all countries. India had piloted a resolution on addressing single-use plastic products pollution, recognizing the urgent need for the global community to focus on this very important issue.

The Government of India has taken resolute steps for mitigation of pollution caused by littered Single Use Plastics. The list of banned items includes -ear buds with plastic sticks, plastic sticks for balloons, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice- cream sticks, polystyrene (Thermocol) for decoration, plastic plates, cups, glasses, cutlery such as forks, spoons, knives, straw, trays, wrapping or packaging films around sweet boxes, invitation cards, cigarette packets, plastic or PVC banners less than 100 microns, stirrers. We produce roughly 300 million tons of plastic each year and half of it is disposable! World-wide only 10-13% of plastic items are recycled. The nature of petroleum based disposable plastic makes it difficult to recycle and they have to add new virgin materials and chemicals to it to do so. Additionally, there are a limited number of items that recycled plastic can be used. These toxic chemicals are now being found in our bloodstream and the latest research has found them to disrupt the Endocrine system which can cause cancer, infertility, birth defects, impaired immunity and many other ailments. It is great to be aware of the dangers and the waste involved with using disposable plastics but we also need healthy alternatives. At the Plastic Free Challenge, we promote sustainable products and services that place a high standard on quality and care for life on earth. There are many things that you can do right away.

World UFO day

Did you know that 2nd of July is celebrated as World UFO Day? If you were far from knowing this, it was marked as the first UFO sighting EVER!

In popular culture, the term UFO–or unidentified flying object–refers to a suspected alien spacecraft although its definition encompasses any unexplained aerial phenomena. UFOs are the most intriguing subject in this world. Several people believe that they do exist, given the fact that there is a world beyond humankind. In India alone, many people continue to spot UFOs, thus giving rise to hot debates on the truth of their existence. The history of UFOs weaves together public fascination, government secrecy and cultural phenomena. Recent news and shifts in the government’s stance on UFOs are giving new life to the mystery and conspiracy theories.

UFO sightings have been reported throughout recorded history and in various parts of the world, raising questions about life on other planets and whether extraterrestrials or Aliens in popular culture have visited Earth. They became a major subject of interest, conspiracy theories and inspiration behind numerous films and books.

PLACES OF UFO SIGHTING IN INDIA: -

  1. Ladakh: We may not take it seriously if someone claimed to have spotted a UFO, but it would be hard not to believe if hawk-eyed army men saw one! News has it that a border patrol force saw and reported more than 100 UFO movements around the Lagan Kher Area in Demchok, Ladakh.

  1. Uttrakhand: Rishikesh City in Uttrakhand is very much synonymous with achieving special divine experiences due to its peaceful and holy ambience, but seeing a UFO is not merely a special experience but an extraordinary one! It so happened in 2013 that a person witnessed a cylindrical or cigar-shaped UFO flying in the sky in the middle of a thunderstorm.

  1. Delhi: A UFO was seen meandering over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence, the security personnel carried out a good search in the area, though nothing was found later on. Reportedly, the UFO was sighted by the Special Protection Group (SPG) personnel.

  1. Maharashtra: Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra came into the spotlight in when a UFO sighting was reported in the region by 800 people from 3 villages close to the TRP petrol pump. According to the eyewitnesses, the object was 12 m wide and was of greyish color. It descended to a height of 500 ft., and then made itself scarce.

Overall, UFO sightings have been reported at Kolkata, Bangalore, Aurangabad and other parts of India. However, they are more common in Kongka Pass in Ladakh as well as in Rajasthan and West Bengal.

Conclusion: -

Trust me when I say that conspiracy theorists in India are on a completely different level altogether. Not only do they believe that India had visitors from outer space about 10,000 years ago, but they also believe that we have our very own Area 51(a US military base that is synonymous for the tales of UFOs—Think Men In Black, but in real life—in Ladakh’s Kong La Pass. Wow! Hearing all this really makes me curious and inquisitive on life beyond humankind, Earth and Universe. So are UFOs a definite sign that Aliens exist? The objects still have not been identified as any known type of world’s aircraft. Then, what is it?
