Medley of Activities

GRADE I - STREAM

Learners were introduced to BEES AND POLLINATION. Through this activity learners explored about BEES AND POLLINATION,

WHAT ARE THE BEE'S and WHY ARE THEY IMPORTANT TO THE WORLD.  Learners created their own bee and practically learned how pollination works.

GRADE II - STREAM

 Grade II learners used their designing and creative thinking skills to design and create their own maze. 

GRADE I - MUSIC

In this engaging activity, Grade I students had a fun and interactive experience 

exploring the concepts of high and low sounds. 

By participating in various hands-on activities, students will develop an understanding of pitch 

and learn to distinguish between high and low sounds.

GRADE II - MUSIC

"Pass the Parcel on Beat" is a lively activity designed for Grade II students to develop a sense of rhythmic accuracy and coordination. As the music plays, students pass a parcel around the circle in time with the beat, enhancing their understanding of steady rhythm and teamwork. This interactive game promotes engagement, musicality, and rhythmic precision in a fun and inclusive manner.

GRADE VI - MUSIC

"Sight Reading and Clapping the Rhythm" is an engaging activity tailored for Grade VI students to enhance their sight-reading skills and rhythmic accuracy. Students are provided with a musical passage and are tasked with both reading the notes and clapping the rhythm. This activity promotes fluency in reading music notation and reinforces the understanding of rhythmic patterns, fostering musical literacy and precision in performance. By combining visual and kinesthetic elements, students develop a holistic understanding of music notation and rhythmic interpretation.

GRADE VII - MUSIC

"The Power of Voice: Creating Your Own Sound Effects" empowers Grade VII students to explore the expressive capabilities of their voices in producing sound effects. By using vocal techniques, students can create a wide range of sound effects, such as animal sounds, weather effects, or mechanical noises. This activity encourages creativity, experimentation, and storytelling through vocalization, enabling students to add an immersive dimension to their artistic and dramatic endeavors. Harnessing the power of their voices, students discover the ability to captivate audiences and bring narratives to life with personalized sound effects.

GRADE VI - MATH

To deepen the learners' understanding on different shapes by  identifying their faces, vertices, and edges. Learners of Grade VI were asked to present the objects available at home with different shapes for a better understanding of number of faces, vertices and edges. 

GRADE VI - SCIENCE

 Specialised animal cells have components that allow them to complete a specific purpose. Cells like blood, skin, muscle or nerve cells are all specialized cells. They are ‘specialists’ at their jobs. Grade VI learners were divided into groups and they gave a presentation on specialised cells.  


GRADE VIII - GP

 Learner's of Grade VIII  worked in small group for a collaborative activity, identifying the cutouts given to them on  a particular topic, where they learned  about how to collaborate with different learner's while accepting difference in opinions. They  drew the shape of the melody on paper. For eg, they can draw lines going down when the pitch of the melody goes down. Learners drew as much detail as possible and then shared with the person next to them. 


INTER HOUSE HAND WRITING COMPETITION

RBK International School has organized English Handwriting

Competition for the students of Grade I to X. The students

participated with a lot of zeal and excitement. The

objective of this competition was to motivate students to

enhance their writing skills. It provided a platform for the

students to showcase their writing competency and develop

their fine motor skills. The best handwritings were selected

according to specific parameters and the students were

applauded for their splendid performance.

INTER HOUSE STREET PLAY COMPETITION

Role playing exercises encourage students to think more critically about complex and controversial subjects and to see situations

 from a different perspective. When properly employed, role plays can motivate students in a fun and engaging way.

 As a part of Interhouse competition, RBKIS learners from the four different houses gave small performance

 based on short stories from 'Panchtantra' which won audience's heart. Here are some glimpses - 

Awareness session


“Awareness precedes change” - Robin Sharma

Awareness sessions were held from Grade VI to X. The topics addressed in each grade were based on the cognitive, emotional and socio-behavioral development of the learners namely Anti-bullying, Conflict and conflict resolution and Growth mindset. The learners were curious, participative and eager to share their personal experiences.

Congratulations

Hridaan Joshi has achieved a remarkable feat by successfully being included in the Guinness World Record 2023 in the category of 'Most People Completing 100 meters on Skate' within 48 hours. The event took place at Shivganga Roller Skating Club, located in Belgaum, Karnataka, from the 27th of May to the 31st of May, 2023. 


Hearty congratulations to the winners of National Cyber Olympiad- 2022-23, who won the gold medal, 

which was organized by Science Olympiad Foundation.
