K I S  SCOOP

Medley of Activities

 GRADE - I & II

 WELLBEING - Welfare of Mind

"Our emotions are the messengers of our souls, calling us to heal and transform ourselves."

In this activity, expressive learners of Grades I & II filled the jar with water and a few objects to indicate their thoughts and events,

they were then asked to use their hands to swirl the objects in the jar.

By using a jar filled with water and symbolic objects to represent their thoughts and experiences, children were encouraged to observe the

swirling emotions within. The swirling represents the turbulence within our minds when faced with challenging events.

Through stillness and mindfulness, children learn that, like the settling of the jar's contents, their minds too can find clarity and peace.

Teaching these principles at a young age cultivates emotional intelligence and equips children

with essential tools for navigating life's ups and downs, fostering resilience and well-being.

This celebration not only fosters a deeper appreciation for books but also enhances literacy skills, imagination, and empathy.

Learners were encouraged to prepare bookmarks representing their favourite books.

 GRADE - V

 Global Perspective

Traffic congestion during peak hours is a common problem in urban areas worldwide.

It occurs when the volume of vehicles on the road exceeds the road's capacity, leading to slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased vehicular queuing. Insightful learners of Grade 5 were encouraged to research the pros and cons of each method of travel, used by their classmates and they discovered the various reasons for being late to school among their peers. They were encouraged to work in groups and present their findings in creative ways about the issue of traffic congestion during the peak hours, typically in the morning and late afternoon, coinciding with the times when people commute to and from work or school which leads to a high density of vehicles on the road.

 GRADE - V

 SCIENCE

"Respiratory Model"

Our fifth graders have embarked upon an amazing educational journey—learning about the human respiratory system!

This fascinating unit is designed to help students understand how we breathe and how our bodies use oxygen. Here are glimpses into what our children have been exploring in class.

To deepen their understanding, students participated in interactive activities and experiments. They measured their lung capacity, simulated the breathing process using balloons, and discussed the effects of exercise on breathing.

                                                                  GRADE - V

                                                                 World Book Day

World Book Day serves as a reminder of the importance of literacy and the profound impact that books have on individuals and societies.

It's a time to cherish the written word, explore new worlds, and encourage a love of reading in people of all ages.

By creating a bookmark, our learners re-established their oath to continue utilising the knowledge and wisdom that books provide.

 GRADE - V

STREAM

Welcome to the thrilling world of mind reading!

In this STREAM activity, students dived into the fascinating realm of binary numbers and uncovered the secrets behind the illusion of mind reading. Engaging in experiments and related activities, students developed a deeper understanding of binary code while honing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Through this engaging STREAM activity, Grade 5 students learned about binary numbers and discovered their endless purposes for the development of technology. As they continue to explore the wonders of STREAM, they embark on a path of discovery and innovation, ready to unravel even more mysteries of the digital world.

 GRADE - VI

SCIENCE

Learning about cell structure and function helps us understand the biological processes that sustain life.

Cell specialization is crucial as it allows cells to perform specific functions efficiently within an organism. Grade VI learners presented the model of some specialized cells in the class.

Presenting specialized cells in class helps learners understand how different cells work together to keep organisms alive.

It makes learning biology fun and interactive, boosting learners' interest and engagement.

 GRADE - VI

English - Vocabulary Bee

To celebrate our students' progress, we frequently conduct a "Vocabulary Bee" activity at regular intervals.

This activity allows learners to showcase their vocabulary knowledge and compete in a fun and supportive environment.

This activity expands their horizons with new words, learners are not only enhancing their language skills but also opening doors to new opportunities and ideas.

 GRADE - VIII

MATH - TARSIA PUZZLES

"Unlocking the Mystery: Dive into the Enigmatic World of Math :-Tarsia Jigsaw Puzzles!"

The only way to learn mathematics is to do mathematics. The game-like nature of puzzles adds an element of fun and challenge,  motivating students to participate and solve more sums. To make it more challenging and interesting, the students of grade 8 were engaged in a group activity based on the topic ‘simultaneous equations’. The teacher created a “ Tarsia Jigsaw puzzle” to solve the equations. Learners solved the problems by matching the correct answer to form a pattern. Learners are actively engaged, learning from each other, and reinforcing their understanding in a collaborative and supportive setting.

After completing the puzzle, the students developed a sense of accomplishment which helped boost

their confidence in mathematical abilities.

 World Environment Day

Every year on June 5th, people worldwide come together to focus on important environmental issues.

This year’s theme is "Beat Plastic Pollution." Celebrating Environment Day is important to raise awareness about protecting our planet.

It teaches students the value of nature and encourages eco-friendly habits.

Learners across the grades were shown a video explaining this day's importance.

After discussions with their classmates and teachers, learners wrote reflections on Environment Day.

                                                                      First borrowed book

Reading that first borrowed book was an experience like no other. It was more than just

enjoying a story; it was about the freedom to choose any book from the library’s vast

collection. It felt like an explorer charting unknown territories, each page turning like a step

further into the adventure.

The excitement of borrowing a book for the first time is a universal experience for many

book lovers. It marks the beginning of a journey into the world of literature and learning, one

that continues to unfold with each visit to the library. For me, that first book was not just a

story but the start of a lifelong adventure in the world of books.
