GRADE III- STORY WRITING

Story writing should engage students' imagination and can be turned into a fun, collaborative and communicative experience.


Aims: To develop writing skills in the context of writing a short story.


Grade 3 learners worked in groups for their "Story Starter Competition" activity and later presented it in the class wherein they learnt to make a draft for the same.

GRADE VI- SCIENCE

A cell is defined as the smallest, basic unit of life that is responsible for all of life's processes. If a cell is specialized, it has unique structures that allow it to carry out its function in the body. Grade VI learners understood the importance of specialized cells through this group activity.

GRADE IX- ACCOUNTING

Title: Project on Accounting flow & system

Description: The learners from grade 9 being new to the subject of accounting have prepared and submitted a project where they are showcasing the accounting flow and system.

The learners have listed some transactions in terms of accounting from their daily routines for a period of 7 days whereby they have understood them from a business point of view and relisted them from a business perspective.

The flow and system applied in the following manner

  1. The learners have applied the duality principle to the transactions and segregated into receiving (debit aspect) ad giving (credit aspect)

  2. They have then posted the transactions into their respective ledgers in books of secondary entry

  3. They have then prepared the Trial balance at the end of the accounting period of their transactions

  4. Lastly, they are able to comment on satisfaction of accounting equation : Assets = Capital + Liabilities

Skills

  1. ability to learn and implement the accounting system

  2. recording the transactions in proper accounting flow

  3. ability to relate the routines to business environment

  4. application of accounting in daily routines

GRADE X- FRENCH

Les étudiants de dixième grade ont visité à l'infirmerie pour comprendre les maladies et des médicaments en général. L’infirmière leur a bien expliqué à la basse les maladies et les médicaments. Elle a parlé des maladies comme avoir mal au ventre,avoir mal au dos, avoir mal au bras, à la tête, à la gorge, à la jambe, aux dents etc. Elle a aussi parlé des médicaments comme le comprimé, les sparadraps, les solutions etc. Les étudiants ont compris l’ordonnance, guérir et souffrir. Les étudiants ont bien appris le vocabulaire de leçon chez le médecin.

GRADE X & A LEVEL- ECONOMICS

Title: Teaching with Images

The use of images in the classroom is a pedagogical strategy aimed at engaging students who have grown up in a media-rich environment. Digital technology has made images more readily available and easier to incorporate into teaching and learning materials.

Skill focus- increased student interactivity and discussion,

develop students’ visual literacy skills which contribute to their overall critical thinking skills and lifelong learning.

GRADE AS LEVEL - MATH

Title: Coordinate geometry

The learners did their own research work for presenting various criteria of the topic they selected and worked in collaboration. It was a great teamwork by Vinam Rathod, Ayan Tiwari and Aryan Samnani. They explained the co-ordinate geometry application that they selected for working on PPT and presented it in the class.

Skill focus: The learners worked on improving their analyzing, geometrically interpreting and presenting skills.

GRADE AS LEVEL - SCIENCE PRACTICAL

The AS level students had their Biology and Physics practical's on 26th July 2022.

During the Biology practical's, they performed Osmosis and observed plasmolysis in onion cells under 10x and 40x magnification of microscope.

For the Physics practical's, the students investigated the rotational motion of mass and checked the equilibrium of meter rule.

INTER HOUSE ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

The objective of Essay Writing Competition is to give Learners the opportunity to demonstrate their reading, thinking and writing skills in a well connected and compact manner.

RBKIS has conducted an Essay Writing Competition from Grade V to A Levels wherein learners participated and put their beautiful thoughts on paper. The glimpse of winners has been captured in the photographs.

THE FRENCH NATIONAL DAY

The French National Day is the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, a major event of the French Revolution, as well as the Fête de la Fédération that celebrated the unity of the French people on 14 July 1790.

Students in our school were very elegantly dressed in blue, white and red colors. They participated in various events like role plays, facts about France. They also participate in a few songs through which they build strong vocabulary. It was an excellent

INTER HOUSE ELOCUTION COMPETITION

Students got a much needed platform to showcase their public speaking skills with elocution. It was held on 25th July'22 , giving a tribute to our motherland- 'INDIA'. Students came prepared with the history of our independence and general information about the country. This implicitly developed research skills in the learners. Learners practiced pronunciation & enhanced their vocabulary. They were mindful of their confidence and paralinguistic features during their performance.

Stand out Performer

Our Under 14 and Under 17 Football teams had participated in the prestigious Subroto Football Tournament held on 26th and 27th July 2022.

Our Under 14 team won its 1st match played against St. Xaviers Kashigaon with 3 goals. As this was the 1st tournament of the season it was a good learning experience for our young players.

Ms Rinoza is one among 100 counsellors around the world chosen for IC3 conference scholarship .

Future Readiness

Conducted a CIALFO orientation for parents from grade VIII to A levels. followed by one on one meeting with the counsellor for university suggestions.

The learners came back for the second session with their personal experiences and concerns pertaining to the specific topics discussed in the previous session. Their concerns were addressed and part two of the topic was explained with supporting examples and videos.
