INTER HOUSE ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

“Good writing gives energy, whatever it is about.” – Marilyn Hacker

Writing not only helps to improve your communication skills, but it also helps in teaching us you  to think. The process of writing an essay teaches a student how to research a topic and organize his or her thoughts. It helps students to demonstrate their overall knowledge of the broader subject and share their insight into particular aspects of that subject.

An Interhouse Essay writing competition was held for learners from Grade III to X on 5th June, 2023 to provide learners with an opportunity to build independent thought, to express those unique thoughts while writing essays in English on the topics given to them.

 STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION

RBKIS Student Council member's nominees campaigned prior to elections in full swing by delivering speeches and also visited learners grade-wise and grade VI onwards understood the responsibility to select their candidate by casting their vote.

PTM - CT 1 (Open House)

CREATIVE EXPRESSION AND CRAZY HAIR DAY

Expression is never limited to colors and paints. To motivate students to think out of the box, RBKIS learners have participated in  Crazy hair day (Grade I-V) and Creative expression day (Grade VI-A levels) which was scheduled on 25/8/23 wherein students have expressed themselves in a very unique and exciting way.

 INDEPENDENCE DAY

RBKIS learners celebrated the 77th INDEPENDENCE day with pomp and great joy. A special assembly was conducted and shown patriotic movies to help them understand Independence Day better, as movies have a powerful influence on people.

 ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th to raise global awareness about environmental issues and promote environmental protection. Each year, the event focuses on a specific theme, encouraging individuals and communities to take action towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly future. The Grade VI A learners delivered an outstanding performance for the school community, using a captivating play to highlight the crucial importance of trees in our environment.

 ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY

Our alumni community is full fledged in action as of August 2023. We had our first alumni engagement event in AY 2023.  Master Yashwardhan Panchal and Miss Hetvi Bhatt, who have applied and been admitted to international universities like the University of Minnesota, came to talk to their juniors regarding the application procedure, the dos and don'ts, adhering to timelines, how to avail a student visa, etc.
This interactive session was a hit, as learners of AS levels had most of their questions answered by the current students of an international university.

There are many more events to look forward to....

Awareness session

“As my awareness increases, my control over my own being increases.”

The learners were introduced to topics that were relatable to them. They had numerous questions, felt comfortable to clarify their doubts and felt safe to share their stories/opinions/ideas/examples with the class. The learners were encouraged to brainstorm at several intervals of the session. It got them acquainted with a range of experiences and enhanced their understanding of the topic.
