SCOOP RBKIS
GRADE III - MUSIC
Learners were introduced to crotchet and quaver beats. Through this activity learners will recognize and understand the importance of rhythm and pulse. Through a range of activities, they will make music and be able to contribute to performances with growing awareness and accuracy of timing, using body percussion and a range of untuned percussion instruments.
GRADE IV - MUSIC
Learners worked in small groups to create their own actions or body percussion patterns to accompany the song. Once learners rehearsed their body percussion compositions, they were given time to perform them to the rest of the class.
GRADE IV - MATH
Sequences are sets of numbers arranged in a particular order. They can be either finite or infinite, and they can follow
a specific pattern or rule. To understand the pattern, learners explored Uno cards. The skill of skip counting is used and plays a crucial role for the task.
The 21st century skill of creative thinking was demonstrated by learners when they made their own pattern. Learners worked in groups and each
group presented a different sequence.
Collaborating in teams makes them efficient and learners can help each other. Learners enjoyed the experiential learning since it was not the most
obvious way of learning mathematics.
GRADE IV - SCIENCE
“A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and a human cannot live without love and care.”
Learners of grade IV performed an activity on the dissection of a flower. During dissection learners' examined and identified the different parts of the flower, and also understood their functioning. The learners actively participated and showed enthusiasm during dissection.
GRADE VII - SCIENCE
When analogies are incorporated into science lectures ,they are used to develop insights into, hypothesis and questions about, and explanations of phenomenon that are usually unobservable. Learners of class seven had a good time in exploring why alveoli are very small rather than a few large one using Petri dish each filled with agar jelly and some coloured dye.
GRADE VII - SCIENCE
Working models give learners opportunity to develop a wide range of scientific enquiry and practical skills.
Learners of Class VII were given opportunity to work on a physical model of an artificial chest to understand how the movement of diaphragm causes air to move into lungs .
GRADE VII - MUSIC
To deepen learner’s understanding of the way the melody is constructed, learners were told to draw the shape of the melody on paper. For eg, they can draw lines going down when the pitch of the melody goes down. Learners drew as much detail as possible and then shared with the person next to them.
GRADE VIII - ICT
The students of Grade VIII presented different skills from scratch programming. Scratch supports the development of 21st century learning skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity and innovation.
INTRODUCTION - FOUR HOUSES
Team building is an ongoing process that helps a work group evolve into a cohesive unit. The team members not only share expectations for accomplishing group tasks, but trust and support one another and respect one another's individual differences. RBKIS House masters and team introduce each other for the academic year 2023-24 during assembly.

MOVIE - SUPER MARIO
Learners of Grade I - V watched the movie Super Mario in 3D.
The learners learnt about how to never give up and always be positive about everything in life. That way half battle is won.
