FIRST DAY OF OUR SCHOOL 2023 -2024

The first day of school went off to a great start, with the students eagerly coming back to the campus, filled with a sense of excitement and curiosity. The staff and faculty welcomed them with open arms, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation for the new academic year.

The day began with an assembly, where the students prayed and took part in some exercises, which helped them stretch and get ready for the day ahead. The exercises were designed to not only keep the students physically fit but also promote teamwork and camaraderie among the students. The prayer instilled a sense of calm and positivity in the students, setting the tone for the rest of the day.

Later, the students enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at the cafeteria, where they were able to relax and socialize with their friends. The cafeteria provided a perfect environment for the students to catch up with each other and exchange stories from the summer holidays. The students also had an opportunity to taste the delicious food that was on offer, which made for a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The principal of the school also addressed the students, welcoming them to the new academic year and setting the tone for the months ahead. The principal emphasized the importance of hard work, dedication, and discipline, urging the students to strive towards their goals and reach their full potential. The students left the assembly feeling inspired and motivated, ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

Sprouting seeds/ Germination activity

Its  the natural germination process by which seeds or spores put out shoots, plants produce new leaves or buds, or other newly developing parts experience further growth. Sprouts are rich in a number of important nutrients. While the specific ratio of nutrients varies depending on the type of sprout, they generally contain high levels of folate, magnesium, phosphorus, and vitamin K. In fact, they have higher amounts of these nutrients than fully-grown versions of the same plants. We students of grade 6 did this process for three days.

PROCESS

First-Soaking of seeds, 2nd draining out and wrapping them with wet cotton cloth, 3rd  day is to see the soak seeds have sprouted or not. And the results are in front of you.

SPORTS & PHYSICAL TRAINING

At our school, we understand the importance of sports and physical training in the holistic development of our students.

Physical training and sports help students develop essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication. They also promote a sense of discipline and resilience, helping students to develop a positive attitude towards challenges and setbacks. Through participation in sports, students learn to set goals, work hard, and persevere, all of which are critical skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Moreover, sports and physical training activities provide a much-needed break from the academic rigors of school, allowing students to relax, unwind, and engage in a healthy and constructive activity. The benefits of physical activity extend far beyond the sports field, with research indicating that regular physical activity can improve mental health, boost academic performance, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Overall, we believe that sports and physical training are an essential part of our students' education, and we are committed to providing them with opportunities to engage in these activities and develop a lifelong love for physical fitness.

"The forgotten games"

Our learners recently had the opportunity to explore traditional Indian games, including "Chain-Chain" (also known as "Sakhalin"). We believe that playing traditional games can have a positive impact on cognitive empathy and social skills, by enhancing various aspects such as cognition, language, gross and fine motor skills, socio-emotional development, and self-care habits. Through these games, our students not only develop their individual skills but also learn how to interact with others in a positive and meaningful way.

Practical learning allows Learners to put what they've learned in the classroom into practice. When studying, it's important to get a hands-on understanding of your subject and how the theory you learn applies to real-life situations. Similarly, we grade 4 students learn about how the globe is not flat, but it's round - a sphere proven by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan learned about it through a model of the globe. We also learnt about different types of maps- political , physical and thematic. Along with that we studied the language of maps too.

Artistic Creation

Our young learners displayed their artistic side; by drawing an outline of their own hands and then added different patterns and colors.

Students had the opportunity to develop their creativity and fine motor skills. By drawing the outline of their own hand, they were able to personalize the activity and make it more meaningful to them. This type of activity helps to boost self-esteem and confidence as students see their own unique creation taking shape.

This activity also served as a relaxing and stress-reducing exercise for students. The process of coloring can be calming and soothing, helping to promote a sense of mindfulness and focus. By engaging in this activity, students had the chance to take a break from other academic tasks and recharge their energy, which can ultimately improve their overall well-being and academic performance.

LEARNERS LEARNT ABOUT HISTORY OF ORIGAMI & 1000 ORIGAMI CRANES. LEARNERS MADE ORIGAMI CRANES AND WERE REALLY EXCITED TO FOLD 1000 CRANES IN A YEAR

What does 1000 paper cranes symbolize?

MEANING OF THE ORIGAMI CRANE

Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1,000 origami cranes, one's wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times.

Patterns in Art

A PATTERN is a design that repeats and can be found anywhere. They can be made by repeating shape, line, or color. Patterns can be simple like a checkerboard or complex like the branches of a tree. In art, pattern is used in organizing and decorating designs.

Learners revised patterns and explored new patterns. They tried to make intricate patterns to fill the space . The activity was fun and the end result was really funny.

Around the globe

Learners  made cut outs of the seven continents and colored the same.

They then pasted the continents on a blue balloon which represented the earth and oceans. Our learners enjoyed creating their own globe using balloons and cut-outs.

Through the activity of creating a globe using balloons and cut-outs of the seven continents, students gained knowledge of basic geography and the layout of the world's continents. They also learned about the concept of scale, as they had to ensure that their cut-outs of the continents were appropriately sized in relation to the balloon.

Additionally, the activity helped students to develop fine motor skills and creativity as they cut and colored the continents, and then worked to paste them onto the balloon.

By engaging in this hands-on activity, students had the opportunity to learn in a fun and interactive way, which can be an effective approach for many learners.

या कवितेतून प्रेरणा घेऊन झाडांचे उपयोग सांगताना आपले  पाचवीतील गोंडस विद्यार्थी.

Place value activity

This activity helped reinforce students' understanding of the concept of ones, tens, and hundreds positions in 3-digit numbers. Students used their knowledge of place value and asked questions that helped them figure out 3-digit numbers.

Place value is important because it provides the foundation for regrouping, multiple-digit multiplication, and other concepts in the decimal system, as well as a starting point for understanding other base systems.

"Family is not an important thing, Its everything"

-Michael J. Fox

Our grade 1 Learners  did an activity "Family tree"

Where they learned about different kinds of families they live whether it's a big family or small family and what are the members of the family called, and what each role a family member plays in the house.

What is the importance of family in the society  ?

Families boost our confidence and make us feel loved. They are the pillars of our strength who never fall instead keep us strong so we become better people. We learn the values of love, respect, faith, hope, caring, cultures, ethics, traditions, and everything else that concerns us through our families.

ELECTION OF COUNCIL MEMBERS

Our young learners got their first experience of nominating themselves as candidates and get a first-hand experience of participating in the biggest democratic activity. The nominated candidates created their own Election Symbols, visited each class to demonstrate their strengths and thus, promoting themselves as the ideal candidate; they were joined by their fellow classmates in shouting slogans. We also conducted a real-life voting process, giving all our students a real experience of voting.

Investiture Ceremony will take place  in the Month of June '23 .
