Wishing Parents and Children a Safe and Happy Diwali!
As the festival of lights, Diwali, approaches, we want to extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. May this Diwali bring you immense joy, prosperity, and, above all, safety.
Diwali, the Festival of Lights
Diwali, known as the "Festival of Lights," symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It's a time for families to come together, celebrate, and create beautiful memories.
Safety First
While we cherish the tradition of lighting lamps and bursting firecrackers, it's essential to prioritize safety. Please ensure that your Diwali celebrations are safe for you and your children. Here are a few safety tips to keep in mind:
Supervise Fireworks: If you choose to use fireworks, always supervise children, keep a safe distance, and follow all safety guidelines.
Use Diyas and Candles Safely: When lighting diyas and candles, place them on stable surfaces, away from flammable objects, and out of the reach of children.
Eco-Friendly Celebrations: Consider using eco-friendly firecrackers or alternative ways to celebrate that are less harmful to the environment.
Spreading Happiness and Joy
Diwali is also a time to spread happiness and joy. Encourage your children to share, care, and be kind to others during this festive season. Consider involving them in acts of charity and sharing with those less fortunate.
Quality Family Time
Diwali is an excellent opportunity for quality family time. Spend this holiday season together, making rangoli, preparing delicious meals, and enjoying the company of your loved ones.
Warm Wishes

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS @ NURSERY ENGLISH
We are delighted to share the fantastic work our little learners have been engaged in during our recent letter "Bb" exploration. In our ongoing journey through the alphabet, our budding artists have delved into the world of the letter "B" by crafting beautiful ball-themed artwork. The activity was fun, allowing the children to strengthen their fine motor skills and express their creativity in a unique way. We introduced the letter "Bb" in a memorable and engaging manner, and this project certainly achieved that goal!
HORTICULTURE
Students engaged their senses by touching the leaves, stems, and, of course, the fruits themselves. They noted the various textures, shapes, and sizes that different fruits exhibit.
Our instructor encouraged students to ask questions about the plants and fruits they encountered. Curiosity is a powerful driver of learning.
Learners were prompted to use their sense of smell to identify the unique fragrances associated with different fruits. This sensory exploration added depth to their understanding.
Students observed the visual characteristics of the fruits, such as color, shape, and any distinguishing features like bumps or patterns.
After observing and exploring, students gathered for a group discussion, sharing their findings and documenting their observations. This allowed for collaborative learning and reinforced what they had discovered.
PRE PRIMARY FIELD TRIP - POST OFFICE
This field trip was not just about a day out of school; it was a hands-on learning experience that allowed our students to grasp the importance of mail services in our community. They connected the dots between their lessons on communication, community helpers, and the world around them
The trip fostered a deeper connection to their local community, helping the children understand the role of the post office in connecting people near and far.
Experiencing the mail sorting process and sitting in a mail truck made abstract concepts tangible and memorable.
The trip fueled the children's natural curiosity and encouraged them to ask questions, igniting a lifelong passion for learning.
Working together and sharing in this adventure helped strengthen the bonds of friendship among our young learners.
As we returned to our classrooms, the children were filled with stories and newfound knowledge. They had seen the world of mail through their own eyes and couldn't wait to share their experiences with their families and friends. Our field trip to the post office was a journey of discovery, a reminder of the magic of early childhood, and an opportunity to spark a lifelong love of learning.
PRE PRIMARY EVENT - DIWALI CELEBRATION
The festival of Diwali, often referred to as the "Festival of Lights," holds a special place in the hearts of millions. This joyous occasion signifies the victory of light over darkness and the triumph of good over evil. At our school, our kindergarten learners had the wonderful opportunity to partake in the celebrations and experience the magic of Diwali.
Our little ones were immersed in the rich traditions and festivities that make Diwali a remarkable and cherished holiday. The celebration was a vibrant tapestry of cultural experiences that introduced our students to the diversity and beauty of India's heritage.
The journey began with the creation of colorful rangoli patterns. The children, with guidance from their teachers, meticulously designed intricate patterns and motifs with vibrant coloured crayons. This art form not only delighted their senses but also encouraged creativity and attention to detail.
A significant part of Diwali is the lighting of oil lamps or "diyas." Our learners had a blast decorating and painting their own diyas. The joy on their faces as they saw their creations glow with warmth and light was truly heartwarming.
Our kindergartners, dressed in traditional Indian attire, looked resplendent as they donned bright and colorful outfits. They learned about the significance of clothing during Diwali and embraced the spirit of the festival.
The children were captivated by age-old legends and stories associated with Diwali, such as the tale of Lord Rama's return and the story of the demon Narakasura. Through storytelling sessions, our little learners understood the moral lessons of these tales and the cultural significance of the holiday.
Excellent opportunity for cultural exchange. Our students learned the importance of diversity and the value of appreciating different customs and traditions. They celebrated with respect and enthusiasm, embracing the multicultural spirit of our community.
The young artists also had a great time creating Diwali-themed crafts. Their artistry was on full display as they crafted paper lanterns, to share their festive spirit.
Diwali celebrations in our kindergarten classes were not just about participating in traditions; they were about the gift of understanding and appreciating the beauty of different cultures. Our students took away a sense of wonder, unity, and the importance of light and goodness in our lives.
As our young learners celebrated Diwali, they carried forward the spirit of the festival, the magic of lights, and the warmth of togetherness. The experience not only enriched their knowledge but also ignited a spark of curiosity and respect for diverse customs that will stay with them as they continue their educational journey.
PRE PRIMARY CHILDREN'S DAY GAMES
A Day of Play
Children's Day is a special occasion dedicated to celebrating the uniqueness and innocence of children. Our kindergarten students had the chance to leave their books aside for a day and immerse themselves in a world of games like blind eye, hopscotch, ring the object and roll the ball, filled with laughter, and unbridled delight.
LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS @ K 1 - ENGLISH
It's exciting to learn that students had employed creative techniques to master the letters X, V, and Y. These hands-on, multi-sensory methods was greatly enhanced by their learning experience and left a lasting impression.
For the letter X, students utilized straws and ice cream sticks to construct the letter, offering them a tangible way to grasp its shape and structure. This interactive approach not only adds an element of fun but also aids in the development of fine motor skills and spatial awareness.
In a similar fashion, learners employed straws and ice cream sticks to fashion the letter V. Through this hands-on activity, students could visually and physically connect with the letter's form.
As for the letter Y, practicing a yoga pose in the shape of the letter proved to be a delightful and physical approach for students to engage with this letter. The yoga pose involved stretching the body and arms in a manner resembling the letter Y, effectively reinforcing the letter's shape, its phonetic sound, while promoting physical activity and flexibility.
These strategies encompassed visual, tactile, and kinesthetic learning methods, creating a powerful blend that aids students in retaining and comprehending these letters.
MATH
In an engaging classroom activity, our learners showcased their numeracy skills by writing numbers 31 to 35 on the board. This interactive session demonstrated their grasp of mathematical concepts and their ability to effectively communicate numerical information.
THEME
In a vivid and memorable thematic session, our eager young learners recently took the classroom to the streets to put theory into practice. In a unique and engaging initiative, they demonstrated their understanding of traffic rules, emphasizing the importance of road safety and responsible behavior. This hands-on experience not only enriched their education but also left a lasting impression.
LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS @ K 2 - ENGLISH
The Opposite Word Game is designed to challenge learners in a fun and engaging way. In this game, children were paired up, and one child is given a word. Their task is to find the opposite of that word by collaborating with their partner. The game encourages critical thinking, vocabulary expansion, and, most importantly, teamwork which further developed an excitement by enacting.
THEME
To bring this theme to life, our learners were handed a worksheet that required them to engage both their minds and creativity. On this worksheet were a series of pictures representing various means of communication, from ancient to modern times.
MATH
Learning the concept of comparing the numbers with an 'Alligator,' students were introduced to quantities of 'more' and 'less' in a way that felt more like play than study. They were given sets of numbers and tasked with determining whether the alligator was hungry for 'more' or 'less.' By comparing the quantities, our students became skilled at identifying which group the alligator preferred. This interactive exercise fostered a deep understanding of the comparative nature of these mathematical concepts.
