Special Assembly: UNCRC Activities
"A right delayed is a right denied."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (commonly abbreviated as the CRC or UNCRC) is an international human rights treaty which sets out the civil, political, economic, social, health and cultural rights of children. A special assembly was organized on 12 April 2022 from grade 1 to 10 were in learners were shown information on 'Right to Freedom of Expression'. Our school created awareness by conducting a special assembly on their rights irrespective of their ethnicity, gender, religion, language abilities or any other status.
"To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity."
RBK Global school continued creating awareness about child's rights through UNCRC activities in the classrooms...
UNCRC Activity 1: Right to Discipline
Children should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level possible. Discipline in schools should respect children's rights and never use violence. Article 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Child 1989 (UNCRC) declares that any form of discipline involving violence is unacceptable. It lays down that children have the right to be protected from being hurt and mistreated, physically or mentally. Governments should ensure that children are properly cared for and protected from violence, abuse, and neglect by their parents, or anyone else who looks after them.

The Winds of Change
The new academic year 2022-23 has laid its red carpet
Ushering a whole new beginning,
The winds of change have arrived...
And it brings with it a smooth breeze of positivity and motivation.
The dusk culminates and the dawn stretches its arms,
To energize and rejuvenate the soul.
The soul that has broken from the shackles of fear and uncertainty,
And one can again come out in the open and feel
The Winds of Change!
Let us all, with a pure devotion gaze above to the Mighty Lord,
And fill our hearts with gratitude and compassion,
And thank the Lord,
For the air we breathe in, For a Home with our loved ones,
For the joy and the happiness,
And
For the Winds of Change
