Are You Interested in Applying to the Scott Police Academy?

 Below, we have listed our answers to our most frequently asked questions by grade 8 students looking to apply. 


Question #1: Are the hours of the Scott Police Academy different than other high schools in Regina? 

Answer: No! Our program follows the exact same schedule as Scott Collegiate and other high schools in Regina. Students begin class at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 3:11 p.m. 


Question #2: Can I participate in extra-curricular activities still? 

Answer: Yes! At Scott Collegiate we have many opportunities for students. For example, students can join the basketball team, volleyball team, badminton team, choir, student leadership committee, etc. If students are interested in extra-curricular activities that we do not host (band, football, wrestling, etc), they have the option to join at our partner school (Martin Collegiate or Thom Collegiate). 


Question #3: Do I attend the Scott Police Academy Program full time?

Answer: Yes! This is a full time program.  


Question #4: Are there additional school fees if we join the Scott Police Academy?

Answer:  Updated information coming soon


Question #5: Do I need to wear something specific every day?

Answer: No! Students in the program are provided with Academy clothing. There are particular days that students need to wear their uniform (drill class days or community outings & field trips) but they are not worn every day. 


Question #6: Is transportation provided?

Answer: City transit passes are available for students who are attending the program from out of boundary.
