EHS Summer Kids Theatre Camp is 2 week-long summer camp for students grades 3rd - 9th. The camp will take place June 15 - 26. The two weeks will be filled with activities including vocal music, choreography, character development, and more! The show will be performed on Friday, June 25 at 7pm and Saturday, June 26 at 3pm in the Edgewood High School Auditorium.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CAMP

If you want to register multiple campers, you will need to fill out one form per camper
We will accept registrations until April 17th, 2027 or until we reach capacity, To secure your spot at $250 rate, you must submit your payment by April 1st -otherwise it goes up to .
If your student wants a speaking/solo role, they will have to submit a 30-60 second video audition.
Auditions are optional. If you would like to have a speaking part or solo, you must submit an audition video. Those who decide not to audition will still get to experience all that camp has to offer – singing, dancing, acting – and perform in the production. Campers who are given speaking roles and solos will be given a script so that they can practice and work on memorizing lines and solos prior to camp.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION VIDEO
Follow the Audition Script here, this will be your template to use to record your video.
Read one of these auditions sides in your video. You only need to read one. You can sing any song that best shows off your voice.
Have a friend or parent read for the other roles in a scene. Once you finish the reading, sing a short section of a song that shows off your singing voice.
While recording your video, make sure you are in a quiet, well-lit location, and you are filming horizontally.
Audition videos must be submitted no later than May 1, 2027. Call backs will be in-person on May 12, 5pm - 7pm in the EHS Auditorium. We will distribute scripts and rehearsal tracks shortly after casting to make sure our speakers and soloists have their lines and music learned and practiced by camp.
Once you record your video, you can email it directly to earoca@rbbschools.net. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it first to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link in an email to earoca@rbbschools.net. Just make sure the link is shared so we can view it! It is also very helpful if you name your file “CAMPERNAME_LionKingKids”

SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR APPLICATION
Requirements for all Camp Counselors:
Must be a rising 10th, 11th,12th grader (Graduating seniors are able to apply) and have participated in a minimum of 2 shows at EHS (Sorry incoming freshmen!)
Preference will be given to students who can attend the entire camp period (Those with conflicts should still apply and indicate their conflicts on the application though!)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What does the $250 fee cover?
Your camper fee covers all rehearsal materials, most costuming pieces, hair/makeup, a camp t shirt, a pizza party celebration and 80 hours of instruction by staff!
Do you have to attend an Edgewood school to participate? Nope! Any student going into 3rd - 9th grade is able to sign up to be a part of the show!
My student is going to be a freshmen next year, can they participate in camp?
Yes! A change was made to grade levels this summer to allow for incoming freshmen to participate in camp!
What are the differences between tracks?
Our beginnner track is meant for any camper who is new to theatre and wants to have experience that is less demanding, but still amazing. Our advanced track is for any camper who wants a more advanced experience. All campers, regardless of track, will participate in the show, play games and have fun!
Are their scholarship available?
We want every student who wants to be a part of camp to participate, so if the cost is a concern, email us at ehsdrama@rbbschools.net and we can discuss ways to help!
Where will camp take place?
Camp will take place at Edgewood High School in the Auditorium.
Will everyone who is accepted into the camp be in the show?
Yes, everyone in the camp will be on stage singing and dancing and performing! If a camper would like to be considered for a solo singing or speaking role in the show, they must submit a 30- 60 second audition video following the instructions above.
