Class Overview
Hello and welcome to ELA with Mr. William Emery.
In Reading we will learn about different perspectives and cultures through a variety of diverse reading selections. Students will enhance their critical thinking skills and expand their vocabulary and comprehension skills.
In English students will take their knowledge of writing and the English language and expand upon it. Students will use all stages of the writing process to develop their editing skills and produce finished pieces of writing. Students will practice three types of essays: narrative, informative, argumentative.

About me
I graduated from UMKC in 2015 and finished my master's in Administration in January 2021 and this is my sixth year of teaching. This will also be my third year at RMS. I have a passion for English and it is my goal to share that passion with my students. Currently, I am sponsoring Student Council and Scholar Bowl.
