I am so excited to be working with your child this year! We have so many new adventures to experience together! I can't wait to get to know each of you, but first a little about me.

I am originally from Rose Valley, Pennsylvania, which is about twenty minutes outside of Philadelphia. I moved out to Missouri in 2003 to attend the University of Missouri (GO TIGERS!!), where I completed my degree, and played tennis. I met my husband, Austin, at Mizzou and we currently live in Blue Springs with our two boys, Brady and Chase. We are huge sports fans and love rooting on the Tigers, as well as the teams here in Kansas City!!

This will be my 7^th year teaching kindergarten as a SV cougar. Prior to coming to Spring Valley Elementary I taught pre-K children for two years, and then worked at Raytown’s Eastwood Hills Elementary, in the School Within A School classroom. When I am not teaching, or watching sports, I like to read, cook, exercise, and spend time with my family!

This year Spring Valley Elementary is recognizing real life heroes! I know that you and your child will be heroes as we embark on a new way of learning. I look forward to helping your child embrace this learning as they gain the foundational skills in reading, writing, math and science that will support growth throughout their education!
