We hope you and your families are well and looking forward to this busy half-term before Easter! Later this half-term (dates below), we will have our parents' evenings which will be an opportunity for you to come and learn about the attainment and progress of your child, as well as their wider development and successes in school. Look out for more information about the booking and organisation of this in the next few weeks. We'd like to encourage as many parents as possible to attend, especially as we have had a relatively settled academic year so far, with a much greater degree of normal learning and lessened Covid-19 impact.
It is with great regret that Mr Lee-Green, our Y6 teacher, will be leaving Rawmarsh Sandhill at the end of SATS Week.
Mr Lee-Green has been a real asset to the school, and since the start of his career here, he has had a huge impact on many children and families, supporting them and their learning daily. We would like to wish him all the very best for the future and the exciting opportunities he will be exploring at his new setting.
We will update you as soon as we can with the plans in place to cover the class from this point and to ensure a smooth transition takes place.
This week, our EYFS children have been exploring the people who help us in our communities. They even had a visit from the police to explain how they keep us safe and explain some of their equipment. The police van was very brightly painted so that it is easily seen, even at night. The police siren was very loud!
On Thursday 7th April, we will be holding our Easter Fayre at school from 2-3.30pm. There will be lots of games, activities and stalls to visit and we are hopeful of a special Easter guest making an appearance too! Our Christmas Fayre went really well, and we are hopeful that this one will be even better. More details about the event will be available closer to the time. Hope to see you there!
